The Rotunda at SUU has a really interesting echo!
For those who follow this blog and go to SUU everyone knows about how the rotunda is an easy place to hear almost every conversation even from different corners of the room. So if you have important information to talk about this inst the place for you. Needless to say peoples conversations get overheard everyday. Conversations such as " Are people are going to judge me if i still play Pokemon... (the answer is no but that's awesome). Or " I accidentally clogged the dorm toilet and just left it because i didn't have a plunger," (that's gross ... really?). More people hold more sophisticated conversations like, " I was at a party the other day and accidentally fell through a sliding glass door." So needles to say if you are in the Rotunda at SUU please listen up what you hear is very entertaining.

I can hear you still
A common misconception with headphones is that once the headphones are in my ear i cant hear anything that goes on. False. i do want to keep my hearing by the time that i turn thirty so just to let you know guys i can still hear what you say to me or around me. So as a social experiment next time you are at the school library or anywhere on the campus you attend turn that volume down from 100 to 5… you might hear something that you just have to tell. With that being said i think its funny the things you hear the things people think you don’t hear. This blog is here to make you think next time you fart in an elevator and try to blame it on someone else(dude i heard it come from your butt…) so enjoy there will be plenty of fly on the wall convos… please post or tell me about your experience with your secret volume game.
Did you really just say thank you but you didn't actually say it ?
So interesting story, I enjoy listening to spotify internet radio (for those who don’t know just think Pandora on steroids.) Sometimes while changing music songs are not actually playing. So with that being said in that time being i did open a door. Here is the fun part. When i did open a door a very tall man said thank you but only moved his lips. No voice came out of his mouth, he just lip sang thank you to me! so naturally i lip sang your welcome right back to him. I think it caught him just a little of guard.. so remember next time someone with headphones opens a door say thank you it will save you alot of embarrassment
Libraries are usually quiet.. so speak softly
At my school like many schools we have a multiple level library. The second floor of our level is usually the quiet one. So naturally people are quite but some people dont feel the same way. I can overhear a group that just had to be talking about people as they would walk by. They would rate them in a scale of 1-10 and they thought they were being inconspicuous. wrong. So naturally we decided to make a game out of them and rate them. Eventually they caught on and didn’t think it was to funny. So please next time at the library be quite on the quite floor.
Why are college housing walls so thin...?
In college it seems like every wall built is about as thick as a sheet of paper. Earlier this week, i overheard some activities going on in my roommates bedroom that he probably wouldn’t want people overhearing. So the question is what do you as a fly on the wall do about it? So as a college student you have many options headphones are always a good thing. But my personal favorite is the blasting of loud and obnoxious music so that they are able to overhear it. College students if you want some alone time with a significant other and you are in the room please throw on a movie music for the greater good of your roommates.
